Better than a pacifier (in Maddie's opinion)

Maddie has only taken a pacifier a couple of times.  She's not impressed with them at all.  However, everything I turn around lately, this is what she's doing...

She loves sucking on her fist.  Not just her thumb.  Her entire fist.  Her goal seems to be getting the entire thing in her little mouth.  At first, I tried very hard to get her to take a pacifier instead.  Now, I've given up and decided at least I don't have to worry about her dropping her fist on the ground like she could a pacifier.
